We are excited to welcome a new angel in our family, Darren Aaron R. Temblor. He was born at AOG 37 weeks and 19 mins. old last January 07, 2009 @ 12:19am. Had he been born a day earlier he would have been declared premature. The Lord has truly answered our prayers.
I was admitted to Holy Child Hospital at past 11 pm of January 04, 2010 due to my high blood pressure and the following morning my OB found out that I was 3-4 cm dilated. With my past children this means that I will be giving birth with in several hours but my doctor placed me on complete bed rest just so I wont go into active labor and my baby can reach 37 weeks. And it truly did unexpectedly as at past 11pm, January 6, 2010 during IE (Internal examinations)I was 5 cm dilated. My doctors and nurses was expecting me to give birth early morning or at least 6-8 after but when the clock struck 12:00 I can feel the baby trying to come out. From my room I went straight to the Delivery Room, no more labor room for me. I almost didn't make it to DR as I can feel Darren trying to come out while I'm still in the stretcher. The rest is history.
At birth he weighs 5 lbs and 6 oz. Length: 46 cm. Head circumference: 32.5 cm. Chest: 30 cm. His Pediatrician is Dr. Cecilia Portugaleza. My OB is Dr. Nailani Z. Tan.
This has been a memorable and exciting experience. Of course I could have done without the labor pains but since it's part and parcel of motherhood then I'll take it anytime and would take it again if I can.
